The 16 years old Rafiu below is scrabbling for pieces of AC condenser fins from the ground in the rain.
It was a critical moment as his livelihood depended on it.
It was getting dark, and I kneeled across him in the downpour. His warm eyes gazed up at me, and that’s the moment I busted into tears. The pitter-patter sound of the raindrops blended with the chinking of the fins to soothe my tenderness.
I can never forget the moment and even the scent of the rain that day.
